TEN. BRIDGET THE SIOUX CITY SCHOOLS ARE ALSO HOPING THE COMMUNITY WILL SUPPORT THEM BY DINING OUT A LOCAL RESTUARANT TODAY. TIM:10 PERCENT OF TODAY’S SALES FROM PARTICIPATING RESTUARANTS WILL HELP THE SIOUX CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOUNDATION PAY DOWN DELINQUENT LUNCH ACCOUNTS. BRIDGET: SIOUXLANDERS SAYING THEY ENJOYED BEING ABLE TO HELP LOCAL KIDS. “I FIGURED IT WAS A GOOD EXCUSE TO COME OUT TO A RESTURANT THAT I’VE NEVER BEEN TO BEFORE AND IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO GIVE TO THE KIDS BECUASE THERE ARE A LOT OF KIDS IN SIOUX CITY WHO HAVE PROBLEMS PAYING FOR THEIR LUNCHES.” BRIDGET: RESTAURANT OWNERS WERE ALSO HAPPY TO SUPPORT THE FIRST ANNUAL DINE OUT FOR EDUCATION— WHICH WILL ALSO HELP THE FOUNDATION ADDRESS OTHER STUDENT NEEDS IN THE DISTRICT. “WE WE’RE TOTALLY UP FOR IT RIGHT AWAY, AS SOON AS WE HEARD WE WERE LIKE ‘YES THIS IS EXACLTY WHAT WE WERE MADE TO DO’ SO WE WANTED JUMP RIGHT IN AND GET INTO AND WE WANTED TO EVERYTHING THAT WE COULD TO SUPPORT THIS GOOD CAUSE.” TIM: OVER A DOZEN LOCAL RESTAURANTS PARTICIPATED IN TODAY’S EVENT.
