The TCC Police Department is a full service
law enforcement agency. We are certified and accredited through the
state of Florida. We enjoy strong relationships with our local,
state, and federal law enforcement partners. In emergency situations, TCC Alerts will be
issued through text and telephone messages, e-mail, computer pop-ups, social media, the
TCC webpage, and emergency sirens. If you receive a TCC Alert, be patient and
calm and follow the message instructions. Information will be updated as soon as possible. If you have any questions, ask a TCC employee. The TCCPD main number is 850-201-6100. Take out your phone. Create a new contact for the TCC Police Department
and download the “Eagle Eye” Rave Guardian App. Report on-campus or off-campus emergencies
to 911. For other assistance with off-campus incidents,
you may contact the Leon County Consolidated Dispatch Agency at 850-606-5800. Take time to become familiar with the locations
of campus emergency phones, fire extinguishers, automated external defibrillators, emergency
exits, and evacuation route maps located in TCC’s classroom buildings. TCCPD provides a full range of assistance
to anyone who is the victim of a crime. TCCPD will provide you with follow-up assistance
regarding a case, from initiating victim counseling to working with the state attorney’s office
through all phases of prosecution. It is very important for you to report crimes
that occur on TCC’s campus. If you believe you have witnessed a crime
or a suspicious incident but you are not the victim, you may contact the TCC Police Department
through our Silent Witness webpage, and your information will remain anonymous. TCCPD follows the requirements of the Jean
Clery Act and reports campus crime statistics annually to the US Department of Education. TCCPD also reports crime statistics to the
Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI. TCCPD manages the college’s planning and
response to all possible hazards or threats and offers training courses to our campus
community on an ongoing basis. Look for course announcements in your TCC
email or on the TCC website. If you are ever involved in a critical incident,
take steps necessary to protect yourself and others and always follow directions given
by emergency responders. As a TCC student, you are encouraged to enjoy
the freedoms of college life responsibly. If involved in a traffic crash, however minor,
remember that you are required by law to share certain information with the other driver,
even if the car is unoccupied. Treat others and their property with the same
respect you desire. Obey Florida’s beverage laws when out with
your friends. Travel in groups and always be aware of your
surroundings. For more information about the TCC Police
Department and the services we provide, please visit the TCCPD webpage. We are glad you selected TCC as your college
of choice. The TCC Police Department is here for you.
